Dawson Peaks and Watson Lake

We spent several days on the Teslin River at the Dawson Peaks Resort and RV. We enjoyed ourselves resting at the RV park. Carolyn and Richard had stayed there 14 years ago. Carolyn had painted a painting that they traded a night's stay for and it was hanging in the resort.

We spent about 9 hours fishing Teslin Lake, which is over 78 miles long,  for lake trout. We caught 11 lake trout in about 9 hours of fishing during two days. Three were under 3 lbs while the rest were between 4 and 8 lbs. Richard caught three of the eleven fish.

Watson Lake has a sign post forest that was started in 1942. It is an intriguing place to wander through. People nail signs, notes and etc up on the posts and buildings to show where they are from.
I'll post what we see on our next part of our trip down to Dawson Creek. There are a large number of forest fires in BC and the air quality hasn't been of a real great quality.
